I have made grocery bags with decorated pockets. The pockets had pieces of discharged shibori fabric hand stitched on black canvas. It is stunning. I also did the same thing on a denim jacket. I get noticed. I love the journal quilt, the bit of red silk really pops. Thanks for sharing.
