Ancient Story


Only a month late, the May JQ for Contemporary Quilt Group

I just had to use one of my gelatine plate 
printed pieces.  It was telling me old surfaces.
The images are screened through a flour and
water paste silk screen, scraped carefully 
with wooden kebab stick.

Thanks Jude, I think I might try the f&w paste again.
It is a bit crazy and unpredictable, suits me.

It's really effective and evocative. I bought Rayna Gillman's book last year and have ever since wanted to have a go at gelatine printing - must put time and energy aside to actually try it soon: I got as far as buying the gelatine.....
