Hey ho

hey ho, it's off to work I go

the ingredients for a tie dye workshop which took place at the Arts Week for children in a local community centre.    Sixty five t shirts left home, twelve returned.  Guess you could say it was a a busy day!      i was so pleased when my friend Brenda turned up, unexpectedly,  to give me a hand.     We worked hard with our little students, and were
rewarded with the delight on their faces when dyeing and going off with their t shirts all wrapped up, ready to be rinsed tomorrow morning - if they can wait that long!

I am going to leave the clearing up of buckets, pots, sponge brushes etc until tomorrow.
Right now, I need to put my feet up and enjoy a nice cup of tea

Don't you just love that wonderful feeling at the end of a successful workshop? I personally have a glass of wine instead of a cup of tea but to each her own.

forgot to tell you that a small (15"x15") wall hanging I did using your indigo pieces, a small bit of indigo boro, and your luscious indigo thread sold at the San Jose Museum of Quilts and Textiles. I was very happy and it was a joy working with your materials.

And, before you ask, I forgot to take a photo. I fail miserably at that.

hi Lei - the cup of tea was partaken at 4pm! Later, a glass or two of red, with supper.

Wow, that's fantastic to hear that my fabric and dyed threads have been incorporated into your wall hanging, and you have a sale! Brilliant. Great venue. Well done you.

After a workshop, no matter the time, I figure it's 5 o'clock somewhere in the world.
